Who We Are

Ambertone Press, Inc. is an award-winning mid-sized commercial printer. Our products include promotional and business materials, books, newsletters, and a full array of other printed products.

We are a service-oriented company providing our customers with competitively priced, high quality printing in print runs ranging from small quantities to 500,000 pieces. Our customer base is comprehensive, including small businesses, medical and legal practices, associations and non-profit organizations, government agencies, publishing companies, along with large corporations.

Ambertone currently occupies 16,000 square feet of commercial space in Springfield, Virginia with fully functional in-house prepress, print and bindery (see current Equipment List). Although we primarily service the Washington, DC metropolitan area, we also have customers based in other states.

Ambertone Press, Inc. was founded in May of 1991 by William J. Whitt. His previous experience as a printing consultant and broker gave Ambertone the immediate advantage of a pre-established client base. The two other principals in the company are Jerry F. Leonard, Production Manager, and Joanne E. Leonard, Vice President. Jerry Leonard brought to Ambertone over 50 years of experience in the printing business. Joanne Leonard added a considerable background in management and management systems. Combined with Bill Whitt’s sales skills and enterprising spirit, a strong, capable partnership was formed in 1996. In addition to the three principals, Ambertone employs a staff of 19 highly skilled individuals.
